HP ASE - Server Solutions Integrator V8.1 certification validates the candidates' knowledge on the advanced integration, installation and implementation services of HP sever solutions. There are three prerequisite exams for this certification. They are listed below:

• Prerequisite 1: The learner should complete any one of the following HP ATP - BladeSystem Solutions Integrator V8.1or Rack and Tower Server Solutions Integrator V8.1 or Server solutions V1.
• Prerequisite 2: This is based on Networking and the learner should complete have any one of the following certificates. BladeSystem Networking with exam code HP0-S39 or HP0-S32 or any of the third party networking certificate like CCIE, CCVP, MCSE, LPIC, RHCE.
• Prerequisite 3: This is based on Servers and the exam to be completed is Industry Standard Architecture and Technology with exam code HP2-T16.

Core Requirements

Administering HP Server Solutions (Exam Code HP2-T21): This exam tests the candidates' knowledge in the deployment and management of HP server solutions, Configuration of Insight manager of HP systems, development and testing of solutions for the customers.

HP offers Instructor led training program for 4 days to prepare for this exam. This is a web based exam and the exam is for 90 minutes with 55 multiple choice questions. The passing score is 70% and it is an open book exam. The topics to be covered for this exam are Fundamentals of Server architecture and technologies with weightage 9%, HP server solutions, products and services with weightage 11%, Solution implementation of weightage 16%, Solution enhancement which covers 7%, troubleshooting and replacement with weightage 13% and solution management with weightage 44%.

Advanced Integration and Management of HP Server Solutions (Exam Code HP0-S33): This Certification exam tests the candidate's knowledge in HP server solutions and deployment of HP tools, HP virtualization solutions and concepts, HP insight Control. This exam is for 90 minutes with 55 multiple choice questions. The pass score is 66% and no reference materials will be allowed during the exam. The fee for the exam varies according to the region.

The main areas to be covered for this exam are HP Server solutions, products and warranty offerings which covers 14% of the exam, Solution planning and design with 18% coverage, Implementation of Solution which includes installation, configuration and setup of solution software which covers 25% of the exam, Solution enhancement with performance tuning, optimization and upgradation with exam weightage 21%, troubleshooting of solution with repair and replacement which covers 10% of the exam, and Management of Solution with administration tasks and operational tasks which covers 12% of the exam.
